Starsilver Ore is a valuable material players will want to collect in Genshin Impact. Starsilver Ore is a material used to craft weapons in the game. Those who are unaware will be able to find this material only in the Dragonspine section of the map, which is an extension of the Mondstadt region. Players might be interested in this material now because of the certain weapons they can create.
Since Starsilver is a rare ore, it takes longer to respawn in the open world of Genshin Impact. Like Crystal Chunks in Genshin Impact, Starsilver Ore takes about 48 hours to respawn, which can get frustrating for players looking to farm more. Therefore, the best way to get large amounts of Starsilver is to find nodes consisting of 3 to 4 Starsilver ore deposits and farm as many as possible in a single run.

Where To Find Starsilver Ore in Genshin Impact
The Material Can Be Farmed Exclusively In Dragonspine
As mentioned, Starsilver Ore will only spawn in the Dragonspine area of the map. This blue ore might be hard to see because of all the blue mountains and white snow covering the location. Fortunately, they spawn in exact locations, but they might not appear at every game boot-up because of the aforementioned respawn times. There is a quest that wants players to find at least 50 Starsilver Ore, and crafting weapons en masse can demand a lot of resources in Genshin Impact, so it is best to try and get as many as possible.
In total, there are 75 nodes of Starsilver Ore available in the game. They are all located across Dragonspine, from the base of the icy mountain to the higher levels of the area. The good aspect for those looking to farm a few is that the largest concentrations of Starsilver Ore are scattered around the base of the mountain, so you will not have to delve deep into the cold area.
To enhance your farming experience in Genshin Impact, it is recommended that you use the official interactive map on HoYoLAB. This map shows the exact location of each node of Starsilver Ore.
What Starsilver Ore Is Used For In Genshin Impact
The Material Crafts Only A Handful Of Items
In the past, Starsilver Ore was a resource needed to complete an event, but now, its only purpose is crafting a specific set of materials in the game. The resource from Dragonspine is used in three weapon recipes, all related to the area. The 4-star polearm Dragonspine Spear, the 4-star catalyst Frostbearer, and the 4-star claymore Snow-Tombed Starsilver all use the particular ore in their crafting recipes. For each of these items, you will need to invest 50 Starsilver Ore – after you have unlocked their respective Genshin Impact recipes by taking on challenges in Dragonspire.
In addition to these three special Dragonspine weapons, you can use Starsilver Ore to craft a Warming Bottle by combining it with Flaming Flower Stamens. Warming Bottles are a gadget that acts like a Warming Seele on the location in which it was used. In essence, it serves as a resource for survival while exploring Dragonspine. Lastly, Starsilver Ore, like most other ores in the game, can be used to craft Fine Enhancement Ore, which increases a weapon's level.

Genshin Impact Movie Receives a Shocking Update, But What Does it Really Mean?
Turning Hoyoverse's blockbuster game into an anime is inevitable, but new details reveal it may not come in the form of a ufotable adaptation.
Currently, the ways Starsilver Ore can be used are extremely limited and hardly contribute to anything more than crafting the three aforementioned weapons. Whenever there is a surplus, more Fine Enhancement Ore is created to level up your weapons. It is worth noting that because these three Dragonspine weapons are craftable, players can easily create multiple copies to increase the weapon's Refinement level, further boosting the potency of their skills.
Dragonspine Spear is not a very good polearm for any character despite the abundance of polearm users in the game. Frostbearer, on the other hand, is a fairly good F2P alternative for Wriothesley's build in Genshin Impact since he benefits from Normal Attack boosts and applies Cryo to opponents. Snow-Tombed Starsilver is also a good F2P weapon for Physical DPS units like Freminet and Eula, though there are better weapon options for both.

Aside from the limitations on usage, there are very few reasons to currently farm Starsilver Ore – hopefully, HoYoverse works on a way of making Dragonspine relevant again and maybe even use the material to craft a batch of new useful 4-star weapons. Genshin Impact is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Mobile, and PC.
