All are great, from Customer Service to food experience there. The stay was enjoyable. However the hotel washroom toilet doesn't have a bidet attachment lol. And the bed is quite small as well. The view is great both at night and in the morning, even though there is a construction on the street, no disturbing noise get into the room at all. Happy in overall with the stay!

We had such a wonderful stay here. Central to all the main attractions and short taxi ride to the markets. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The room was very spacious, our own kitchen and mini lounge area. The bath was quite small for a tall person but the shower was great. Bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast is possibly the best I’ve ever had, such a great selection and delicious fruit. They had jack fruit available everyday. They cooked hash browns for us even when they weren’t on the buffet, and they are definitely the best hash browns I’ve ever had. The executive lounge was great value, lots of food and drink, the staff here were also really good. Only small critique, and wouldn’t effect us staying again, would be the decor is quite dated but I think it is the oldest hotel in the city.

Great well-kept swanky 5 star hotel with a great view and an amazing service. If you are a club Marriott member and are at one of the elite levels in your Bonvoy membership then this is the place to be - because you get access to the club lounge (free food!) where you can enjoy the luxury that this hotel has to offer: in peace away from the tourist groups (who inevitably tend to be excited and loud all the time) who also frequent this hotel.The staff made us feel welcome and provided us with a temporary room for early check-in and to get fresh in while they prepared our suite (we had some suite upgrade nights). They knew when it's your birthday and if you are staying with them on that day, they leave you a dessert.

Interesting location - with all great food places and the river walk near by... Loved the breakfast they serve.... Hotel offers a lot suiting all tastes making it easier to stay here... I prefer this now for the breakfast they serve

The Renaissance Hotel is as good, if not better than, other hotels I have stayed in Asia. Some complain the rooms are older but I think that is a good thing. I do not hear every bit of noise like in the newer "modern" hotels. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping is impeccable. Service in the lobby and restaurants equally excellent. The breakfast was wonderful, too many choices! Staff was helpful and well trained. Thank you for making my time in Saigon an outstanding experience.

One downside is room is a bit run down, old style. But was clean. I love location by the river there. I stayed on the river side on 12th floor. You still could hear the traffic sound until midnight! The pool and bar was great view but we didn't get to try food or drinks due to rainy.

GUYS BE CAREFUL AT THIS HOTEL.I am staying at this property since 2018. Experience was good until last week. I had $3000 cash and passport in my laptop bag. My bag was in storage for 1 hr. When i hand over bags with my 2 passports and money was in the bag. I went for lunch and came back after 1hr. Money was gone. Management is keep telling me we are investigating but it is all waist of time. It is 100% sure employees are not trustworthy. I am Titanium Bonvoy staying with Marriott over 150 nights a year. I reported to Marriott Corporate customer service. They are doing nothing but to just send email to GM. I am considering stop staying at this property and move my all future stay with Hilton or IHG brands.

Paying 2024 prices for a 1970s room.I don't feel good writing this review as the staff did their utmost best to make up for the glaring oversight that is the overpriced rooms. As with other reviews, the room was old and very worn and there is a prominent mouldy, damp smell that hits you in the face as soon as you open the door. The staff offered a change of room but that one was just the same as the one we were already in so we decided to decline.The staff did approach us a few times to apologise and offered us some treats to make up for the experience but it's not their fault the pricing is the way it is. I think the state of the rooms is a real disservice to the wonderful staff of this hotel. The hotel staff should have a hotel they can be proud of and not have to apologise for.The location is definitely excellent and the views were spectacular. I think they just need to adjust the pricing to suit the current state of the rooms instead of charging prices reflective of a newer, more modern hotel room. It was definitely not the 'luxurious' experience we thought we were going to get.

Great location, great view, great staff. They pleasantly surprised me by extending my check out time and sending a cake on my birthday! How sweet is that! Will stay here again.

The stay was satisfactory with good service.The doorman was helpful and carried our luggage straight to our room. We were recognized as elite members and check-in was only after we were taken to the lounge. The only thing is that the smell near the lift in the ground floor was too strong and made me a little sick. It would be better to eliminate the smell near the lift on the ground floor.We checked in while having juice in the lounge and went straight to our room.Although the room design and furniture is old, it is well cleaned. The view from the room was great, and in the morning we were able to see the sunrise.The fitness center had so many machines that I wished I had brought my workout clothes as well.Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, the bread in particular was my favorite. I miss coffee bread there!!

What an amazing 5 star hotel!I Loved my staycation here, breakfast is not too expensive and really taste good. Staff were super amazing and very attentive to guests.There was a well fitted gym, that includes free water for guests. And a sauna and stream room and a romantic rooftop pool. Although the pool it is next to the bar I felt a bit weird if you have chosen to go for a swim at night.

The service is without a doubt exceptional. We felt welcomed and very well looked after. And this is the reason why the overall rating is four and not three as the rooms are way overdue for renovations. Of course, everything is clean and tidy but major maintenance/renovation is required.

My mom and I had our first breakfast this morning. We enjoyed it very much the 🤩ambiance, 👍🏻food selections❤️staffs are all warmth and accommodating. One of the best 5stars hotel by far. Just wow!

Overall, it was a very good stay and was good value. The hotel was in a nice area and within walking distance to a lot of shopping. All of the staff were very kind and helpful; this has been our experience with all of our stays at American hotels in Vietnam with one exception in Hanoi. The breakfast buffet was slightly smaller than some of the other buffets that we’ve had across the country, but the food was very good. The breakfast in the lounge was decent but much smaller than downstairs. The only small complaint we have was that the rooms are slightly outdated. We actually read online prior to booking. Not a big concern at all, as we only needed the rooms to lay our heads at night. Also one morning, housekeeping came and cleaned our room although we put the sign on the door as well as verbally telling the housekeeping staff that we didn’t need it that day. Just fyi for the staff. Will definitely consider this hotel for future stays in Saigon.IG: @notquiteviet

Gatecrashed a friend’s working trip at this hotel. It’s located at a very nice location with a lot of easy access to a lot of eateries and food. It has a seafacing view too.The breakfast spread everyday is quite good and enjoyable. And service is amazingly good and friendly.The room amenities are abit slightly dated though. I wish the interior decors can be refreshed. Otherwise nothing much to complain about

It's right in the heart of the action, close to all the sights and must-try restaurants. But even though it's in the center of everything, the hotel itself felt like a peaceful oasis. Maybe it was the comfy bed or the amazing views of the river, but I always slept like a baby and woke up feeling refreshed and ready to explore the city.Overall, I couldn't recommend the Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon more. If you're looking for a luxurious and relaxing stay in Ho Chi Minh City, this is the place to go. It's the perfect combination of comfort, style, and amazing service.

Thanks to all the staffs here that had given us an unforgettable night. We’ve stayed here on Chinese New Year’s Eve and the view of the fireworks was amazing. We’ve also stayed here after our engagement dinner and we were upgraded to a suite and were given some complimentary snacks. All the staffs were very friendly. The rooms were very clean. We still definitely return again.

We booked this one for their location , and it was so worth it . Though the hotel and rooms really need a remodeling asap as it’s very old , but our Saigon River view room , made our stay memorable. On our request, they changed our room too as there was weird damp smell in our previous room .Their rooftop bar/ pool and Indian restaurant are the cherries on the cake . We enjoyed our evenings sitting there and looking at the river and high rise skyscrapers.It was beautiful and relaxing .Their breakfast buffet had Indian section too , pretty much everything for everyone.The staff is very cooperative and friendly, the guys on the main door , helped us every time with getting the taxis and everything.And before I forget, we really enjoyed the day tour booked from the hotel for cu chi tunnels and Mekong River, it was very smooth and professional, we were picked up from the hotel and dropped back at the end of the day .Overall , this hotel takes all the points for its central location , all the tourists places of interest were within 10 mins drive from here .We also walked around and it was very convenient .Would love to return here in future .

Location - Right in the heart of saigon.Welcome - Received well at the entrance and assisted to the reception. Special thanks to Viter for amazing welcome,he was very genuine and helpful.Room - We were alloted a river view room. The room was very good. It was spacious and had excellent views of the city and the riverscape. The furniture was a very nice mixture of old and new, which i really enjoy as a hospitality industry expert. They provided us an extra bed for my kid without any extra cost + a welcome cake. Thanks to the housekeeping team for amazing efforts to please us.Food - We had breakfast at their lounge and the main dining area. The quality of the food and service was excellent. They had a wide variety of vegetarian options that was a big bonus for us.We went to benaras, indian restaurant for dinner. We didn't enjoy the food there, it was very spicy and oily. Though this restaurant is not associated with rennaisance , it's located on its roof top. Benaras needs to bring in the same standards to quality as the rest of the hotel, to be associated well with the excellence of the hotel.Overall - A very luxurious & welcoming atmosphere at this hotel, i would sure recommend this for your stay in Saigon.

Updating my review to 1 star. Some random dude just randomly used a key to access my room, said he's a manager with a master key and checking on the guests. I see no reason why they need to enter my room. The entire thing was him ringing the door bell 3 times and within the 20 seconds it took me to tell the people that I Was on a business call with to wait for me to check the door, he had already entered my room and says this is hotel policy. I can no longer trust this hotel or recommend it. Clearly they will enter your room whenever they want. I can only surmise what could have been stolen had I not been in the room.OLD Review - disregard the safety partGreat views no matter what room your in, attentive staff, and honest room service people. The safes are quite small and you can't lock up everything I want, nothing was stolen and everyone me is extremely accommodating. This is a very well run hotel. Bring your swimming suit, the pool is amazing and the views of the city even more amazing.

I booked two rooms for myself and my husband + my parents over new year's eve period (31st December). We heard it was a great location to see the fireworks which was true, however the best view we got was from our riverside room and definitely not the rooftop bar (surprisingly)! The walls and structures on the rooftop blocked the fireworks so I'd recommend watching from the riverside rooms on a high floor. The hotel is fantastic in terms of cleanliness, restaurants/breakfast and location. I would stay again if I were back in Saigon, District 1.

Hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed in. As many previous posts may have pointed out, the rooms do feel outdated (i.e., smell moldy), but the service in this hotel is over the top great. From room service providing turn down, prompt towel restock, laundry returned in less than 24 hours, to the truly delicious breakfast buffet every morning, I did not have a single need that was unmet.Thank you to the staff and very friendly hosts of this hotel.
